Welcome to the Brisbane Sub-Aqua Club

The Brisbane Sub-Aqua Club is one of the hundreds of BSAC (British Sub-Aqua Club) branches around the world.

Refresher Courses

If you've not dived in a while and want to dive on holiday or resume regular diving, you can kick off with a comprehensive refresher course.

As a club member, refresher courses are tailored for you, taking the time to ensure that you become comfortable and confident once more.

We'll start in the pool and progressively refresh your skills until you're enjoying open water diving again!

Already a Scuba Diver?

We welcome members from all recognised training agencies. You don't have to be a BSAC-certified diver to join our branch.

Because BSAC is both a club and an international training agency members get the benefits of both: adventure, opportunity, friendship and fun supported by the highest quality diver training, dedication to safety, and a worldwide network of clubs and centres.

Learn to Dive!

BSAC is an international training agency. It offers highly regarded scuba certifications that are are recognised worldwide.

BSAC trains divers to its own training program and standards. It does not train to a schedule. In the club environment divers can learn and progress at their own pace. Training is provided by qualified club members on a voluntary basis. The club encourages divers to maintain their skills by offering regular skill development and refresher courses.

Diving with us

We're priveleged to have some of the best diving in Australia at our doorstep. Here's some video of a recent club dive.

Diving with a BSAC club

Since 1953 BSAC has been run by divers, for divers. Today, BSAC has a worldwide reputation for quality and safety.

BSAC divers dive with friends. More experienced divers and those with special equipment and interests find buddies in the club with similar interests and skills. Less experienced divers are looked out for, and develop their diving skills at their own pace.

Enjoyment - It's more fun (as well as easier and safer) to dive with people you know, who know you, and who look out for each other.

Safety - BSAC sets high standards for safety and competence, and branches operate and train to those standards.

Skills - Your fellow members may be qualified BSAC instructors. Others may have experience diving around the world and in different styles of diving. Members grow as divers whether training, diving or just spending time.

Friendship - Our club meets frequently and has social events during the year.
