Nine Mile Reef and Cook Island with Tweed Seasports

Event information

Registrations for this event are closed.

Organiser: Gavin Wills.

Diver grades: Nine MIle Reef is suitable for Sports Diver (with appropriate depth progression) and above or equivalent. It can be subject to current and drops to 30m, so best for those who are comfortable and recent with their buoyancy and general diving skills. Cook Island is suitable for all divers.

Equipment: Divers must bring full diving kit. Air cylinders and weights are included in the price. Nitrox fills are available and other gear can also be hired from Tweed Seasports. Divers must carry knife/line cutter, whistle, DSMB and reel and snorkel.

Operator: Tweed Seasports. Website: http://tweedseasports.com. Their boat is a RHIB.

Costs: The cost is $145 for two dives, which includes air cylinders and weights. Other kit hire and Nitrox is extra. If you pull out of the trip after the booking is made it is up to you to find a suitable replacement. Please also ensure you share the fuel bill with those you share a ride with. The operator will provide nitrox for an extra $20 (you can pay this on the day, but you must tell me so they can prepare!)

Travel: We will meet at Tweed Sea Sports at 7am. Drive time will be approximately 1.5 hours from Brisbane (but can be longer with roadwork and traffic).

Diving: I have currently reserved the whole boat for our exclusive use. This gives us 12 spots.

Waitlist: If the trip is fully booked on the website and you want to be put on a waitlist (in-case of drop outs or more spaces being added) please send me an email.
