Boat dive to exHMAS Brisbane with Sunreef, Saturday 26 May 2018. Registrations close 12th May 2018.

Diver grades: This dive is suitable for all diver grades as Sunreef will be providing a dive guide who can accompany less experienced divers. However, there is a maximum of 6 divers with the guide and depth restrictions and other such limits must be adhered to (please ask if you aren't sure).

Meeting point and time: Sunreef, The Wharf, Mooloolaba. http://www.sunreef.com.au/contact-us We have the 11:30am timeslot, meaning there is time to drive up from Brisbane beforehand.

Training: Any training requirements will be dependent on the availability of instructors on the day. Please let me know in advance if you have training items that you would like to complete so I can link you up with any instructors that may be on the trip. Additionally, I am organising this trip as part of my Dive Leader training.

Equipment: Usual dive equipment including SMB, knife/ line cutter, whistle and snorkel. Those doing a single long dive will obviously need the appropriate gear and must be suitably experienced using it. Sunreef would like to know ahead of time what people are planning to do (including how many tanks we need), just so they can figure out how to set up the boat etc. They have also confirmed that they cannot allow planned deco dives due to their insurance, so this will be no stop diving only.

Rental equipment is available from Sunreef, if required, at extra cost. Please let them know if any rental gear is required prior to the trip - I'll collect the tank requirements when you sign up.

Other Stuff: Depending on the weather forecast bring appropriate wet weather and/or sun protection gear. Remember you'll still get sunburnt on overcast days sitting out on a boat.

Bring sea sickness medication if you are susceptible. Hot drinks and snacks will be provided for the surface interval. As this is the lunchtime dive, you may want to bring something more substantial if you think your tummy can handle it - but let's have a meal together afterwards.

Costs: If you bring all of your own gear the cost will be $1400 for the full boat of 12 divers, so $116 each (including weights). Tank hire is an additional $30/person - same price whether you want air or nitrox. As we have the full boat, we need to pay the full amount in advance so I will require the full charter cost paid in advance (tank hire, gear etc can be paid on the day).

If you pull out of the trip after you have paid it is up to you to find a suitable replacement. You will only be refunded if Sunreef cancel.

Travel: Drive time will be approximately 1 hour 30 minutes from Brisbane (there tends to be more traffic on Saturday mornings). If required I'll attempt to arrange car pooling. Please meet at the shop before 11:30am.

Waitlist: If the trip is fully booked on the website and you want to be put on a waitlist (in-case of drop outs) please send me an email. On the other hand, if the trip doesn't fill up by the 12th May, I will find ring-ins to fill the boat - due to the charter situation, please don't leave it to the last minute to sign up.
