Shore dives at the Seaway (The Spit) can often be amazing and it is eons since I did my back in there.... so I am now keen to go back and experience the step entry/exit.

Diver grades: All levels welcome!!!

Equipment: Full SCUBA kit including your own tank and weights.  Divers should carry knife/line cutter (ESSENTIAL DUE TO FISHING LINE)  , whistle, safety sausage or DSMB & reel and snorkel. Maybe bring something to collect rubbish too!

Hiring of Equipment: Contact Hannah if you need to hire any club kit.  Alternatively you can hire tank & weights etc from Southport Fishing and Dive Centre. Open from 6am. Always very helpful. 07 5531 2333

Costs: No costs (apart from your own costs of tank fills and carpooling if required).

Travel: Carpooling - Please let me know if you require carpooling.

High tide is at 8.48 am so best time to dive is at high water slack so ideally going in around 8.15, but, if you arrive @ 6.30, you could get the chance for a double dive with a drift first.

Hopefully we can stagger dives so we have shore cover for all to get at least one dive. There are a few different options at this site. 

I will aim to be there for 6.30 to accommodate those who want to drift. 

This dive site is good for all divers. Some value for some training exercises but boat traffic and shallow depth (Max 15 m) limits others.

Afterwards we can have brunch at the cafe or a more salubrious venue down at Marina Mirage.....
