Pinnacle, Kingscliffe

This is a great, deeper dive. The pinnacle drops straight down to 33 meters on a sandy sea bed. There are numerous small caves and swim throughs. At the northern end of the Pinnacle are cracks where you can swim into the centre of the main pinnacle. Lots of rocks around this feature frequently by pelgaics, cod, snapper and surgeonfish. Frequented by grey nurse sharks in cooler months. 

Date & Time: Saturday 27th August, meeting at 6.30 am for a 7:00 am departure on Ocean Dive (skipper is Chris Mire) 

Meeting Point: Boat ramp car park opposite the Sheoak Shack Gallery Cafe (64 Fingal Rd, Fingal Head NSW)

Diver grades: Sports diver and above. Perfect for those seeking depth progression if an Instructor is available. 

Equipment: Full SCUBA kit including your own tank and weights.  Divers should carry knife/line cutter, whistle, DSMB and reel and snorkel.

Hiring of Equipment: Contact Hannah for if you need to hire any club kit.  Alternatively you can hire tank & weights etc from Chris Mire. Please advise if you need kit from Chris. 

Costs: $100/double tank dive if I can get 10 divers to fill the boat. Otherwise $125/double tank dive.

Travel: Carpooling - Please let me know if you require carpooling.

Food: I appreciate this is early so I can bring bacon butties and coffee. We can finish with lunch at the Sheoak Shack after the dive (just across the road).
