Tweed River Diving Day - Rescue Theme
Times: Meeting time: ; 10.00 briefing
Meeting Point: Car Park
Organiser: Ian Dale - See Member List for email address and phone number.
Diver grades: All levels welcome!
Training: The intent of the day is to build on the Rescue pool day skills and put them into a rescue context. There will be discussions and demos before the scenarios are carried out regarding de-kitting twin set divers (back mount and side mount) and hopefully implications of rescuing rebreather divers. High tide is 3pm so an early start is not necessary and a recreational dive after the scenario should be possible.
Equipment: Full SCUBA kit including your own tank and weights. Divers should carry knife/line cutter, whistle, DSMB and reel and snorkel.
Hiring of Equipment: Contact Hannah for if you need to hire any club kit. Alternatively you can hire tank & weights etc from Kirra Dive http://www.kirradive.com
Costs: No costs (apart from your own costs of tank fills and carpooling if required).
Travel:
Food: A BBQ style event will be organised with contributions from those partaking.
