Cook Island double dive (12 Divers) - 9th June 2019

Organiser: Laura (but happy to hand over to a Dive Leader trainee!). Log in to website for email address and phone number.

Diver grades: This dive will be suitable for all diver grades. Dive sites will be decided based on the grades of those who sign up and weather/sea conditons on the day.

Equipment: Divers must bring full diving kit excluding tanks and weights (other gear can be provided at extra cost). Divers should carry knife/line cutter, whistle, DSMB, and snorkel.

Operator: Tweed Seasports. Website: http://tweedseasports.com

Costs: The cost is $105 for 2 dives, including tanks and weights. Payment into the club account will be required to confirm your place on the trip. This is not refundable due to the charter nature of the trip (i.e. we have to pay for your spot whether you show up or not). If you pull out of the trip after you have paid it is up to you to find a suitable replacement. Please also ensure you share the fuel bill if you carpool. They can provide nitrox for an extra $20 (you can pay this on the day, but you must tell me so they can prepare!).

You are welcome to bring your own tanks if you prefer and the operator will fill them after the dives, but please tell me ahead of time.

Travel: Meeting time is confirmed as 8.30am. Drive time will be approximately 1.5 hours from Brisbane. If people’s schedules allow we will arrange car pooling for the trip down and back. Please let me know if you are happy to drive and how many people (plus dive kit) you think you can fit in your car.

Diving:  I have currently reserved the whole boat for our exclusive use. This gives us 12 spots.

Training: please advise the DM in advance if you wish to complete any training exercises. Provide at least 1 week's notice. Training will be subject to availability of instructors, operator requirements, and conditions.

General information: It may be useful to bring sunscreen, a warm hat and a windproof jacket to keep you protected from the elements. Also seasickness medication for those who need it! Snacks and hot drinks will be provided for the surface interval and we will look to head somewhere for lunch after the trip.

Waitlist: If the trip is fully booked on the website and you want to be put on a waitlist (in-case of drop outs or more spaces being added) please send me an email.
