Double boat dive with Blue Bay Divers, Saturday 5^th November.

Diver grades: This dive is suitable for all diver grades. There can be surface current at the site so you should be comfortable with entering and exiting the water in these conditions.

Meeting point: Brunswick Heads Boat Harbour, Brunswick Heads, NSW. There are public toilets at the end of the Fisherman’s Co-op building.

Training: There is no training planned. Any training requirements will be dependent on the availability of instructors on the day. Please let me know in advance if you require training so I can link you up with any instructors on the trip.  

Equipment: Usual dive equipment. A delayed SMB and reel would be advantageous if only to practice this skill. Divers should also carry knife/ line cutter, whistle and snorkel. 

Rental equipment is available from Blue Bay Divers if required at an extra cost. Please let me know if any rental gear (including tanks) is required prior to the trip.

Other Stuff: Depending on the weather forecast bring appropriate wet weather or sun protection gear. The temperatures should be higher than present by early November so fingers crossed that no hot water bottles are required!

Bring sea sickness medication if you are susceptible.

Hot drinks and snacks will be provided for the surface interval. We can go to the Fisherman’s Co-op or the Hotel Brunswick for a late lunch after the trip.

Costs: If we can get 10 divers and you bring all of your own gear the cost will be $95 per person for 2 dives. Tank hire from Blue Bay is $20 for two tanks with air fills. If we cannot get 10 divers there will be an extra $5 per person surcharge.

Once you have registered for the event on the website please contact Blue Bay Divers with your credit card details to confirm your place. I will not be taking deposits for this trip. If you pull out of the trip after you have paid it is up to you to find a suitable replacement. Costs will be refunded if the trip is cancelled.

Travel: Drive time will be approximately 1 hour 45 minutes from Brisbane. If required we can arrange car pooling. Please let me know when you will be travelling down and how many people (plus dive kit) you think you can fit in your car.

The meeting time will be confirmed closer to the trip but is likely to be between 7.30 and 8am NSW time. Be aware that NSW will be on daylight saving time and 1 hour ahead of Queensland, so it will be an early start if you are driving down in the morning.
