Hear ye, hear ye, hear ye. Come one, come all, to the BSAC Christmas party and Bicycle ride from Guyatt Park, 18 Macquarie Street, St Lucia,  around the picturesque Saint Lucia campus of the University of Queensland, and back for BBQ and salads.  

For those without bikes there are several BCC bike hire facilities within close proximity. BCC provides helmets with some bikes, but you are advised to bring your own. Bike hire is $19.80 for 2-3 hrs, $38.50 for 3-5 hrs. Half hour or less between bike stations is free. "Go card" can be used, but prior registration of the card is required.

There should be plenty of parking available, and as Uni has finished it is not expected that the site will be overly busy. There is a gazebo with seating, and a shade cloth covered play area. There are two free electric barbeques, and one wood fired. Because it is a public space early arrival would probably be necessary to secure a barbeque. Fresh water is available on site. There is a public toilet in nearby Bryce Street.

For those not interested in the ride, there are some nice walks around the campus, and waterlilies in, and wildlife around the lake, surrounded by lots of shade trees.

As with the previous Christmas party, bring your own meat and utensils, and a salad to share. Some sauces will be provided. So we have some idea of types of salads being brought, if you are bringing one would please name it on the spreadsheet.
