Event information

The ability to perform effective CPR is an important skill for everyone to possess. Like any skill we need to practise it regularly. It is recommended that the CPR course is refreshed annually. So even if you did the First Aid course with the club last year then you are due for a CPR refresher. The course also includes training in the use of an AED... which is handy as the club now has one!

The course will be run exclusively for Brisbane BSAC members and is offered by First Aid Brisbane. It will take place at Bulimba Library.

Cost

We have 10 *free* places, courtesy of the grant. As the course is subsidised you must commit to your place if you are offered one.

If we are oversubscribed then preference will be given to those who dive regularly with the club. Additional subsidised places may be available given enough prior notice. In the worst case the cost to additional participants will be ~$55 pp. I will confirm whether you are happy to proceed if there is no subsidy available when you rsvp.

Unique Student Identifier

Before starting the course, participants will need to provide me with a Unique Student Identifier (USI). This is required by all trainees doing any nationally recognised training. You may already have one but if not see https://www.usi.gov.au/about for more information, and go to https://www.usi.gov.au/students/create-your-usi to get it. It only takes a few minutes to fill in the form.

Post course brunch/lunch

Bulimba library is at the end of Oxford St in Bulimba, there is therefore an option to go for brunch/lunch (at own cost) after the training if there is enough interest.

Please direct any further questions to Laura Bellis (details available when logged in to website).
