We are running another oxygen administration course. This is part of the Dive Leader course, but is open to all level of diver as this is a vital skill for all divers as the administration of oxygen is a way of increasing the effectiveness of first aid treatment for diving accidents. Being competent in its use gives you the confidence to treat a diving-related injury either on a boat or on dry land. Note: This is course will not give you an official Queensland/Australian O2 admin qualification.
Preference will be given to those who need the course for dive leader, or those who have not done the course before (or those who have not had a refresher for a long time).
The course includes a mixture of lectures and practical work, and will familiarise you with the Club's O2 equipment.
As an addition, we can offer this as a Skill Development Course (https://www.bsac.com/training/skill-development-courses/safety-and-rescue-courses/oxygen-administration-2/#tab-1). This involves a cost of $60 (approx, depends on postage & currency conversion). You get a course pack and will be required to pass a practical and theory test at the end of the course. If successful you can apply for an Oxygen Administration qualification card.
**If you wish to do it as a SDC please sign up by 31st December, so the material can be ordered from the UK.
