The Tweed offers a sheltered environment to refresh skills or just for a dive up the river. Four Sports Divers will be receiving rescue training. Anyone else is welcome to come along and do your own thing or, if anyone else would like training let me know. It will be a case of BYO instructor.
Average depth is around 8m so it's perfect for all grades of divers.
Meeting places and times - All Times are Queensland times:
Sports Diver training group: Meeting at the Northern carpark near the facilities block and Little DBar beach. See map. Please arrive and be unloaded and kitted up for the 08:15 lesson briefing. Arrival time: You know how long it takes for you to kit up. Subtract this from the briefing time.
General diving group: Meeting at the Southern carpark near Jack Evans Harbour. See map. High tide is 10:23 am Qld time. Please arrive and be unloaded and kitted up for the 10:15 briefing. Arrival time: You know how long it takes for you to kit up. Subtract this from the briefing time.

Diver grades: All levels welcome!
Other training apart from SO1 Sports Diver training: Other training may be possible to organise. Will be subject to instructor availability and conditions.
Equipment: Full SCUBA kit including tank and weights. Divers should carry knife/line cutter, whistle, safety sausage or DSMB + reel and snorkel. Don't turn up expecting this to be available.

Costs: No costs (apart from your own costs of tank fills and carpooling if required).
Travel: Carpooling - Please advise if you need a lift or can carpool.
