HMAS Brisbane with Scuba World - June 17th (7:15 am - 12:30 pm)

Diver grades: This dive is suitable for all diver grades.

Equipment: The trip cost includes provision of air tanks and weights. If you use your own tanks they will offer you free air fills after the dive but no diving discount. Other hire gear is available from the shop if needed at additional cost. Divers should carry knife/line cutter, whistle, DSMB, and snorkel. Torches are also a good idea if you are planning on going into the wreck.

Operator: Scuba World, Mooloolaba

Costs: If we can get 5 people signed up the cost is ~$145 for 2 dives, the exact cost will depend on the number of people who register but will be no more than $153. As the trip is only a week away I will ask for full payment after you register. You will be refunded if the operator cancels the trip, otherwise it is up to you to find a replacement. Bank details to follow by email once you have registered.

Scuba World return to the shelter of the river during the surface interval to minimise sea sickness opportunities. Snacks will be provided in the surface interval.

Travel: Meeting time is 7.15am. Drive time will be approximately 1.5 hours from Brisbane. If people’s schedules allow we will arrange car pooling for the trip there and back. Please let me know if you are happy to drive and how many people (plus dive kit) you think you can fit in your car.

Diving: The boat can take 18 divers, so far we are the only ones on it! I am not expecting to fill the boat.

Waitlist: Not likely to happen but if the boat does fill up with others and you want to be put on a BSAC waitlist (in-case of drop outs or more spaces being added) please send me an email.
