Member Welfare
Member Welfare
The Brisbane Sub-Aqua Club takes its duty to safeguard the welfare of members very seriously. We aim to provide a safe and inclusive club environment.
Every member has a personal responsibility to treat all other club members in a fair, ethical, caring and respectful manner and to promote the safety and well-being of others in club activities. Every adult member has a responsibility for the safeguarding of children under the age of 18 and vulnerable people participating in club activities.
Report an incident or discuss concerns
To report an incident or concern related to member welfare - or if you have questions or suggestions - the first point of contact within the branch is the Welfare Officer. If there is no dedicated Welfare Officer appointed then this responsibility is passed to the Diving Officer. If you want to speak to someone else then the branch Chairman should be able to assist with welfare matters.
BSAC Safeguarding Policy
The Brisbane Sub-Aqua Club complies with the safeguarding requirements of the British Sub-Aqua Club while operating under Queensland law and guidelines, and utilising local resources and institutions.
